So there are two things I’m concerned about: my grandmother and homework.

Today, my grandmother had a sugery on her knee and it was sucessful. But now, she’s trying to recover so I have to take care of her. So these few days, I would probably go to the hospital and visit her often. I just saw her today afterschool. I took the bus down with my cousin to the hospital. My ‘dad’ is suppose to bring food for her, but he’s still at the house. I told him to bring food and that she’s hungry, but he’s not responding. I’m kinda actually REALLY angry at him, because what’s more important: your mother-in-law or television? I hope my mother comes back soon so she can bring some food for grandma. I’ll visit her tomorrow too. :)

Then I have homework. As usual, I have A LOT! But mainly just reading for AP US and LA. For AP US, I seriously need to catch up and finish reading up to at least Chapter 18. Too many pages to read! :(

Weird sleeping patterns 01/09/2009

School has started and my weird sleeping patterns strikes back! Well I kind of sleep at 11:00 pm til 2:00. I wake up at 2:00 am, and begin finishing my homework. Then at 6:45 am, I get to Joanne’s house and ride the metro bus (because my father would no longer drive me to school)… oh well. But taking the bus with Joanne is actually not all that bad. We got to talk more… since I’m always busy during lunches printing homework and essays, I don’t really have time to talk to my friends. So this would be a great chance for me to do some bonding. :D

Yeah, my weird sleeping pattern. Now it’s 9:30 pm and I’m getting sleepy. Probably because I’m in my bed and I don’t feel like doing my homework. I plan on finishing my Japanese homework, my chemistry homework, and my math homework by today. Then I can work on my AP US homework and language arts homework tomorrow and Sunday. Good plan. Good plan. But they always fail and then I fall behind. D:

Annabelle Lee

By Edgar Allan Poe

It was many and many a year ago,
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived whom you may know
By the name of Annabel Lee;
And this maiden she lived with no other thought
Than to love and be loved by me.

I was a child and she was a child,
In this kingdom by the sea;
But we loved with a love that was more than love -
I and my Annabel Lee;
With a love that the winged seraphs of heaven
Coveted her and me.
And this was the reason that, long ago,
In this kingdom by the sea,
A wind blew out of a cloud, chilling
My beautiful Annabel Lee;
So that her highborn kinsman came
And bore her away from me,
To shut her up in a sepulcher
In this kingdom by the sea.
The angels, not half so happy in heaven,
Went envying her and me
Yes! that was the reason
(as all men know, In this kingdom by the sea)
That the wind came out of the cloud by night,
Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee.

But our love was stronger by far than the love
Of those who were older than we
Of many far wiser than we
And neither the angels in heaven above,
Nor the demons down under the sea,
Can ever dissever my soul from the soul
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee.
For the moon never beams without bringing me dreams
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And the stars never rise but I feel the bright eyes
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side
Of my darling, my darling, my life and my bride,
In the sepulcher there by the sea,
In her tomb by the sounding sea.

I thought this poem was too romantic. It was really sad at the end, but I love this poem. I loved the way he wrote it. I love the rhymes and the way he described it. When reading it, I imagine myself in a fairy tale book. This kind of reminds me of a painting done by Maxfield Parrish: The Dinky Bird. This is probably one of my all time favorite poems and possibly one of my all time favorite authors.

New Years Resolutions? 01/01/2009

I’m glad a new year has come: 2009! I have so many things I could leave behind from 2008. Bad things, good things, just everything. But there are some things where I have to say it out. Some things I found out and I don’t really want to keep it in. Arguing with her, I was about to slip it out. I just want to say it out and get over with it because my resentment on her is piling up because of that little secret I found out one summer day.

BUT I KNOW for sure, this will slip out sooner or later even if it isn’t me telling. Let’s just say someone would be super pissed.

So New Years: my sister’s birthday. I don’t really know what I am doing today. But my dad says we’re going to eat dim sum later and I just have to buy her a present then. When it was my birthday, I didn’t get many presents. None of my siblings ever gave me presents, but apparently, SHE gets presents from all of us.

I seriously need to be more positive in this blog! Okay! I finished Chapter 14 and I’m moving on to Chapter 15! WOO! I’ve also downloaded this Japanese drama which I still don’t understand the plot. It’s kinda weird, but the ‘L’ from Deathnote is one of the main characters in the show. MAX POWER!

I’m am currently sitting on my bed, typing in my room, without lights. And it makes me sleepy. Last night at midnight, people were shooting fireworks and they were like “BOOOM BAM BOOM BAM BOOOSH BAM BOOOM!” And then my siblings were outside watching Disney Channel. And I was inside my room, watching my Japanese drama.

It doesn’t look really good outside; it’s pretty much dark and gloomy feeling, even though it’s New Years.
