WOOOO! A new year! I think this year has been the worst years of my entire life (and for many others as well). I am very excited to start a new year and a bright future. It has been really hard for me in the year of 2008 and I hope that 2009 would be NOTHING like that!

Well, I wonder what people are going to do this year? Hang out with family? With their lovers? With friends? Last year, I spend my New Years Eve on the train at Hong Kong. I wonder what I’m going to do this year. Probably read my AP US History Book as I watch Chinese TV Dramas. Pretty chill, just like my other winter break days.

But school is starting next week! And I need to do so many things! AHHHH!

HOHOHO! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

It doesn’t feel like Christmas. Christmas isn’t as exciting as it use to be anymore. I’m suppose to get excited and jump around because it’s Christmas! But today, I feel like it’s just another average day. This year, I didn’t get as many presents. I guess I’m too old to get Christmas presents. I thought I would get presents from my mom’s friends, but I guess they didn’t. I still need to hand out my presents to my friends. Here is the list of friends I would give presents to:

  • Alyson
  • Annie & Joanne
  • Qi-Wen
  • PB
  • Cynthia
  • Lisa
  • Mayu

Our family is just having a nice dinner. And then I might play outside in the snow again! It’s currently snowing outside again, and I’m excited to take more lovely pictures! Now, I could take pictures of the whole family and send it to my uncles and aunts from HK. I’m excited!

ILOVETHESNOW!

Journey: Day 5 – More Snow?! 12/22/2008

It has been snowing all week! And many things have been canceled because of this crazy weather! I personally love the snow no matter what, so I don’t care if anything is cancelled. As long as it is snowing, I would dance outside everyday. I mean, it’s pretty rare to get this much snow in our city, so I better cherish this moment. The YouthCAN party has been cancelled. And my first aid training has been cancelled. On facebook, a lot of people have been complaining  about snow messing up their plans and they need to shut up and play more! PLAY PLAY PLAY! Then come back in and drink a nice cup of hot chocolate, under the warm blankets, watching your favorite television shows and read your favorite books.

I admit, the snow has kept me from doing the things I want to do, like, shopping or going to my friend’s house, and being in the house is kind of boring. There was one time, when I was wide awake, sitting there complaining because there was nothing to do. I couldn’t go outside, facebook was boring, youtube was boring, I’ve already blogged, blogtv was boring, internet was boring, too late to cook, nothing to watch, don’t want to call my friends… BUT SNOW FTW!

I just made key lime bars and they didn’t taste as good as I thought it would be. First, I thought it wouldn’t be as sweet. IT IS WAYYY TOO SWEET. Second, I thought there would be enough crust. THE CRUST ISN”T EVEN THERE! This is definately not my favorite dessert and I don’t think I would make it for a very long time.

So, I would love more snow! I’m going to build an igloo today! WEEEE~

Journey: Day 4 – Dreams 12/21/2008

Last night, I had the weirdest dream! We were at school and the new messenger came out. It was light green and was “one of the best messengers in all times.” I was talking to this girl named Laura. It was after a swim meet and the swimsuits were all being dried at my room. My room was a classroom/dormroom at school. It was really weird. I was changing in my room when suddenly, Laura almost came in. And then she told me something and then we became friends. Then when she left with her friend and said something about going to the beach.  A guy named Chris came to look for her. I told him she was going to the beach; then he asked me if she was going with Danny. I said I didn’t know and he left. There was an assembly outside; it was just like the baseball stadiums and everyone was just talking. Just as I was going inside, I saw Danny. He had the biggest afro I have ever seen. It was puffy and his skin was silky smooth. He was not the Asian Danny; he was white. Then he was telling me that I did a great job about the messenger and kept on rambling about cameras. He was talking in codes that I didn’t understand. For example, “The D3421 is a good camera for wideshots and ranges like a G2358 or a G32456…” But I acted like I understood what he meant and nodded. I guess I was part of the messenger crew. Then he was done talking, I was about to tell him Laura did most of the work, but he left really fast and dissapearred. I felt bad, so I tried to find Laura and tell her all about it. I went inside to look for her and I found her dressed in a black robe and a purple necktie/ribbon. I looked like she was graduating, but it wasn’t the time yet. So I had to wait until the speaker was done talking and when the speech was done, everybody left. I waved and she noticed me. She sat on a seat and waited for me. I told her that Chris was looking for her, and she laughed. I told her that he asked if Danny was going and she giggled. Then I said Danny came and asked me for you. She seemed really surprised and happy. She said, “Really?!” And then Danny came right behind her and I told her to look back. They talked and I left. Then as I was going out the door, I turned back and told him that Laura was the one who did most work. I said, “Laura was the one who did the most ‘gonglo,” and paused because ‘gonglo’ was Chinese and he didn’t understand it. So I said ‘gonglo’ halfway, stopped, and said work. We discussed what a huge success this messenger was and told us a good job. I said I really liked the stories and the colors of the newspaper. And he said we needed to have a meeting on other good stories. Then somehow, they came to my room. I was searching for all my old messengers in my white tub and they were talking about things. Then Danny told Laura that she needed all those kinds of photography books and listed out names.

And a phone call from my uncle stopped the dream. THE END. C:

Today is the official day of WINTER BREAK! Some people could say it was Wednesday, but I had to wake up 4 am to see if there was school tomorrow. But today, I just slept throughout the entire night. It was great.

But I woke up at 8:30 am, so it wasn’t as late as I expected. I slept at 1:30 and thought I would sleep until noon. But I guess my sleeping habits have changed. I sleep less and I wake up too early… I guess that should be a good thing.

My plans for today:
1. Play in the snow.
2. Play in the snow.
3. PLAY IN THE SNOW!
4. Drink Hot Chocolate.
5. And maybe a little bit of homework. C:

I have a long break… but I also have a ton of homework. I guess it would be a good time to finish it all and not stress about it.

All Seattle Public Schools are CLOSED today, Thursday, December 18.

So I just found out there was no school today. Last night, there was a mix between hail and snow. It wasn’t snowing that much so I thought the schools would be cruel enough to send us off to school. But we don’t! But something scary happened…

I tried to go outside my room, but all of a sudden I saw a flash. At first, I thought it was some creep taking pictures or something, but it wasn’t. Then I heard “ROOMBOOMBANG!!” Oh yes… it was lightning! It was really loud and super scary. It was the first time I’ve heard lightning in Seattle this loud. It was freaky. After the lightning, I heard sirens. I’m not sure, maybe a car was hit… but then it stopped after 3 minutes. So I told Alex on Facebook about the thunder and siren noises. Just when I finished typing, I saw another flash. And this one was even bigger. The rumbling noise lasted about 5 seconds.

So now it’s foggy and it’s snowing HARD. And I’m glad, excited, and happy. C:

I wish it would continue to snow for the rest of the day. I just want it to snow, snow, snow! I don’t have to play outside today because I could always play tomorrow! My web-cam is on because I want to capture the glorious moment of lightning… but there hasn’t been one. :C

I closed the lights so it could see the flash. But you can’t see my face at all!

This is what’s happening outside my window! Isn’t it wonderful?

11:30 am – More snow

I’ve seen my friend Alyson write daily on her little blog, so I’ve decided it would be pretty cool to make one as well. This is like Xanga… but better. Just a little bit better. C:

I remember when we were little preteens exploring the internet and the scary predators we’ve met online. Those were the days…

Well, today there is no school because the school district was afraid that it might snow later in the day. And it would be a drag to get back home. So we didn’t have school. That means I won’t have to turn in my incomplete essay for Language Arts and I wouldn’t have to take the test I didn’t really study for in Japanese. If I say it the mathematical way:

no essay = bad grade = x
no study = bad grade = y
Therefore, x = y; and x + x = 2x!

Double bad! BUT~
No school = no need to turn in essay + no need to take test = -x or -y

And so x + y – x – y = 0!
No need to turn in anything!
